Armenia boxing coach pleased with 2012 results

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia will host boxing championships in January 2013, with the squad to hold team practice session later.

In conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the coach of Armenian boxing team Karen Aghamalyan said the event will bring together young skilled boxers.

“In all probability, Koryun Soghomonyan, Aram Avagyan and Narek Abgaryan won’t participate in the championships,” the coach said, expressing satisfaction with 2012 results.

“We will take every effort to secure further wins in 2013,” Mr. Aghamalyan said, hailing Armenian boxers’ participation in Russia-hosted European Olympic Hopes 19-22 Championships.

European Boxing Championships 2013 are due in May, to be followed by AIBA World Boxing Championships 2013 in October.
