GERMANY TO START NEW SCHOOL YEAR WITH STUDYING ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

PanARMENIAN.Net - The first textbook about the Genocide has been issued in Germany. Yesterday German Minister of Education Holger Rupprecht presented the book titled "Genocides and state crimes with use of violence in 20-th century as school lesson topic." The idea of compiling such a textbook emerged this February, when German forces launched a hot discussion on the Armenian Genocide. The textbook written by scientists with the assistance of the Bochum University staff consists of two parts. The first tells about the principal signs and causes of genocide while the second presents the history of the Ruanda genocide and the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire. The first schoolchildren to study the genocides of the 2-th century will be the pupils of the schools of Brandenburg.
