IFFHS issued a ranking of the strongest Leagues of the World of the 21st Century.

After 12 years the English Premier League leads the world ranking of the Strongest Leagues of the 21st Century, ahead of the Spanish Primera División. Three Latin American leagues - Brazil, Argentina and Mexico - are placed in the "Top 10", where there is no change in the positions in comparison to 2011.
