Monument to Aram Khachaturian to Be Set in Moscow

PanARMENIAN.Net - Moscow authorities have decided to set a monument to prominent composer Aram Khachaturian. Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov signed the respective decree, which is passed to develop and strengthen the historical, cultural, social and political ties with Armenia. The decision is also due to the year 2006 being announced a Year of Armenia in Russia. The monument to Khachaturian is planned to be erected in the public garden next to the House of Composers in 8/10 Bryusov lane next year. Being created by sculptor Georgi Frangulyan, the monument will be presented to Moscow by Yerevan Administration.
