Lena Baslan: Valance Recognizes NKR Independence

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nagorno Karabakh President Arkady Ghukasyan is in France on a working visit. November 12-14 he visited Paris, Nice, Bourg les Valence and Valence. The NKR President met with French MP, Vice-Chair of the Armenian-French Friendship Group Muriel Marland-Militello in Nice. At the instance of the interlocutor A. Ghukasyan presented NKR position in the settlement of the conflict with Azerbaijan, as well as the reforms being implemented in the NKR. The NKR President also had a meeting with First Vice-Chairman of the Provence-Alpes-Cote D'Azure Regional Council Patrick Allemand. Mr. Ghukasyan presented the social and economic processes in NKR, noting the support of foreign citizens and the Armenian Diaspora. Mr. Allemand remarked Provence-Alpes-Cote D'Azure intends to continue assistance to Artsakh in developing infrastructure. The same evening A. Ghukasyan met with local Armenian community representatives at Barsamian Cultural Center of Nice. The meeting was organized within the framework of the phonothon to be held under the aegis of Hayastan Pan-Armenian Foundation November 17-20. In his speech Arkady Ghukasyan called the attendees to take part in the action noting that the collected funds will be spent on the development of the Martakert region of NKR. The Karabakh leader stressed the economic, social, psychological, educational and cultural importance of the TV marathon for the people of Karabakh.
