Due to Bird Flu Euro Commission Banned Import of Fluff from Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today the European Commission banned import of bird fluff and feathers from six states bordering with Turkey to prevent spreading of bird flu, stated Euro Commission official representative Michael Mann. Special measures of epidemiological safety are taken after the death of three children from bird flu in Eastern Turkey. Today the diagnosis is confirmed in 12 patients of Turkish hospitals. Besides Armenia, the new limitations of import of poultry keeping products will also affect Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Iraq and Syria, reported Itar-Tass.
