COLUMBIA GOVERNOR APOLOGIZED FOR PRAISING ATATURK

PanARMENIAN.Net - Sharp criticism made governor of Columbia US state Mark Stanford apologize for praising founder of the present Turkey Kemal Ataturk. As reported by "Arminfo" agency referring to "Augusta Chronicle," earlier Stanford called Ataturk a leader, who reformed his country. Meanwhile, in the opinion of historians and witnesses, Ataturk had direct implication in the events in Ottoman Turkey at the beginning of the 20-th century, which led to the violent death of over one million Christians - Armenians and Greeks.
