RA Elaborating State Strategy of Struggle against Armenian Monuments Demolition

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian government intends to work out a state strategy of struggle against demolition of the Armenian architectural and historical monuments in Nakhichevan, head of the Agency for Monument Protection at the RA Ministry of Culture Artem Grigoryan stated at today's press conference. He said the Ministry was instructed to hold a sitting with participation of all the interested departments and work out a state strategy of struggle against Azerbaijan's vandalism. "The Armenian authorities intend to urge the international community to condemn Azerbaijan's activities targeted at elimination of the monuments of Armenian culture," Grigoryan said. In his words, UNESCO and ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites) have already condemned Azerbaijan's barbarian acts.
