PanARMENIAN.Net - Tying his 8th round game against Dragiša Blagojević of Montenegro, Armenian grandmaster Tigran L. Petrosian dropped to the 21st place with 5.5 points at Grand Europe Chess Open Tournament in Golden Sands, Bulgaria.

GM Avetik Grigoryan, who played in a draw with Valentin Pambukchyan (Bulgaria), is 67th with 4.5 points.

Zbyněk Hráček of the Czech Republic leads the tournament with 6.5 points.

In round 9, Petrosian will rival Alessandro Bonafede of Italy.
