Speaking of Demolition of Armenian Khachkars Essential

PanARMENIAN.Net - As it was reported earlier the Pan-Armenian Committee for Protection of Armenian Monuments has prepared a statement consisting of 7 items. The statement was handed to Armenian President Robert Kocharian for the publication during the meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents February 10-11 in Paris. The statement records the demolition of the ancient Armenian cemetery in Old Julfa in Nakhichevan. When commenting on the initiative in a conversation with PanARMENIAN.Net reporter NKR President's Advisor for Foreign Policy Arman Melikian said "it is essential to speak of the destruction of the Armenian khachkars." "If it's a mere rending of the air, it's better to say nothing. But is these statements are of benefit, they should be welcomed. If they don't yield fruit, other ways for prevention of the demolition of the old Armenian monuments should be sought for," Arman Melikian said.
