Baku Announced of "New Stage" of Relations on Karabakh Conflict
"A new stage of relations on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement starts, head of the Azeri Milli Mejlis delegation to PACE Samed Seyidov stated in Baku. In his words, Armenians "will do their outmost to damage Azerbaijan's authority among the international organizations." "We should be ready for it and launch serious, purposeful and consistent activities in this direction," he said. He noted that the initiatives undertaken by the Azerbaijani delegation in PACE "for some extent prevented the activities targeted against Azerbaijan and played a significant role for brining the true information about the conflict to the notion of the international community."

When commenting on Robert Kocharian's statement on the intention to recognize Karabakh's independence Seyidov said "it's the continuation of Armenia's non-constructive policy." "In 1988 Armenia took an illegal decision to annex Nagorno Karabakh to its territory. Now they threat with recognition of its independence. Armenia should know that Azerbaijan will never resign to seizure of Karabakh. We used to hold and will keep on holding peaceful negotiations. The international community witnesses the development of our economy and civic society. The stronger Azerbaijan is the more determined our response to Armenians will be," Samed Seyidov said.
