Azerbaijan acts against UN Purposes: Deputy Foreign Minister

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement will make no progress, as long as Azerbaijan pursues its destructive policy, Deputy Foreign Minister told reporters Friday, October 23.

Addressing journalists at the 3rd international forum of graduates of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) in Yerevan, Shavarsh Kocharyan said Azerbaijan acts against UN Purposes, including the peaceful resolution of the conflict, respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples, cooperation in solving international problems in all areas.

“This much is enough to make the following conclusion: as long as Azerbaijani authorities keep their own people hostages and sow hatred towards the neighboring people using the Karabakh conflict, the negotiations will not progress,” Kocharyan said, according to Panorama.am.

“This, however, doesn’t mean the OCSE Co-chairs’ activities are meaningless. Baku may still come to its senses after all,” the Deputy Foreign Minister concluded.
