List of events within Year of Armenia in France enlarged due to high interest

PanARMENIAN.Net - The events scheduled in the framework of the Year of Armenia in France are held successfully and at a high level, RA President's assistant, coordinator of the Year of Armenia in France Vigen Sargsyan said. "The program is rich but the list of events was enlarged from 500 to 600 due to high interest," he said. Exhibitions of Parajanov and Saryan's works as well as those dedicated to architectural heritage of Armenia's 12 capitals have already opened and draw great popular attention.

"The exhibits of the State Museum of Ethnography of Armenia in Sardarapat also aroused big interest just as like the exhibition of universally known painter of sea-scapes of Armenian origin Ivan Ayvazovsky hosted by the Navy Museum in Paris," Sargsyan said. Among the planned events he mentioned exhibition of church dressing and plates in Lyon, exhibition of Matenadaran's ancient manuscripts as well as four exhibitions of modern art, the first of which to be opened in Nice February 21. "It's remarkable that Armenian modern painters not only from Armenia but from other states will be presented at the exhibition," he remarked.

Sargsyan also said that a conference dedicated to information technologies scheduled for late February will offer Armenian companies an opportunity to represent their activities and establish business contacts, reports newsarmenia.ru
