Baku reconsiders expansion of OSCE mandate in Karabakh![]() May 23, 2016 - 12:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The deputy chief of Azerbaijani presidential administration said that his country was in favor of a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and didn’t mind the expansion of the OSCE mandate and investigation of border incidents, local media outlets report. Earlier, commenting on the Vienna-hosted meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents, Novruz Mammadov said Azerbaijan assumed no commitments in terms of expanding the existing Office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office. "The move won’t bring significant changes in [current Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office] Andrzey Kasprzyk's powers,” he said then. "We only agreed to strengthen the ceasefire for future talks.” ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
