EUROPEAN ARMENIANS CALL ON EUROPEAN UNION TO PROTECT TURKISH CITIZENS SPEAKING FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS WITH ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Forum of Armenian Associations of Europe (FAAE) the other day called on the European Union to protect the Turkish citizens speaking for establishment of diplomatic relations with Armenia. The activities of the Turkish government against the citizens aiming at "building bridges of mutual understanding with Armenian" were followed by the appeal. In particular, the official Ankara removed a number of officials including the chairman of the Trade-industrial House of the border city of Igdir Tayer Orali after his return from Armenia. Renewal of animosity of the Turkish authorities has become apparent in the statement of Turkish state minister Reshad Dogra, which, in particular states that none of the international organizations including the European union cannot make Turkey raise its blockade against Armenia.
