Karabakh conflict sides should find a more realistic approach

PanARMENIAN.Net - "The existence of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict - unsettled but threatening to flare up at any moment - is harmful for Russia," said Gennady Gudkov, chairman of RF State Duma committee on security.

"Azerbaijan and Armenia are our close neighbors and we want sustainable peace there," Gudkov said.

The Russian MP thinks Azerbaijan and Armenia could achieve a reasonable agreement on Karabakh. "The problem is that the parties to conflict should do it themselves. They should find a more realistic approach implying less populism and rhetoric," Gudkov said adding that Russia is ready to stand a guarantor of the agreement achieved by the sides, Trend news agency reports.
