U.S. can suspend financial aid to Armenia over emergency rule

PanARMENIAN.Net - Millennium Challenge Account implementation in Armenia may suffer from imposition of emergency rule, U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said when addressing the House appropriations subcommittee hearing on the State Department's budget.

Rice said that the state of emergency in Armenia, imposed recently after rioting against the results of the presidential election, had made it necessary to suspend some U.S. programs there, ITAR-TASS reports.
