UN resolution to have no impact on Karabakh process

PanARMENIAN.Net - The UN resolution will have no impact on resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, said Jonathan Henick, Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Baku.

"UN resolutions are ineffective. Let's take the resolutions adopted over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict," he noted.

"The most efficient structure to resolve the Nagorno Karabakh conflict is the OSCE Minsk Group. This is a complicated process but resumption of hostilities will be a calamity for the entire region," Henick told Azeri ANS-Press.

"Actually, resolution of the Karabakh conflict depends on Armenia and Azerbaijan but not on the U.S. or other OSCE MG co-chair states. Azerbaijan should be ready for trade-offs, without sacrificing its national interests. Applicable solutions should be found," the diplomat underscored.
