Addressing the attendees, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stressed the necessity of recognition of the Armenian Genocide."I am often asked why the issue of the Armenian Genocide should be raised and I always reply that neglect of history leads to its repetition," Ms. Pelosi said reminding about the genocides in Rwanda and Darfur.
