GUAM planning to introduce resolution on frozen conflictsJuly 8, 2008 - 18:55 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The consultations are underway to introduce a GUAM draft resolution in the agenda of UN General Assembly for a discussion on 'frozen conflicts'."The resolution developed by GUAM will certainly be brought into discussion and no state can prevent it," said Agshin Mehdiyev, Azerbaijan's representative to the UN. Mehdiyev said that the exact date of the discussions will be determined upon completion of consultations. "The Resolution introduced to UN by GUAM envisages the conformation of the territorial integrity of countries suffering from 'frozen conflicts' and Ukraine as well," Mehdiyev said. He informed that the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon will prepare a report on the resolution "On the Situation in the Occupied Territories of Azerbaijan" which was passed by the UN General Assembly on 14 March 2008, Trend Azeri news agency reported.
