Baku acts impudently and stubbornly, NKR FM advisor saysSeptember 2, 2008 - 17:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Baku acts impudently and stubbornly, spending huge funds on propaganda, according to an NKR official. "Internet is stuffed with everyday Azeri lies about violations of the ceasefire by the Armenian side. Azerbaijan tries to involve Armenia into fruitless discussions on various topics," Arsen Melik-Shahnazarov, advisor to NKR Foreign Minister, said in an interview with PanARMENIAN.Net "In response, Armenia should explain the international community that Azerbaijan did not exist in the map of South Caucasus before 1920, when Turkish invaders synthesized a buffer state to absorb the true Azerbaijan, which was Iran's province. Therefore, present-day Azerbaijan has no right to Nagorno Karabakh, Nakhijevan and many other regions," he said. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. Authorities said a total of 192 Azerbaijani troops were killed and 511 were wounded during Azerbaijan’s offensive. Partner news |
