Armenian lifter wins snatch silver at European Championships

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian weightlifter Izabella Yaylyan came in the second in the snatch event of the women’s under-55kg contest at the European Weightlifting Championships in Moscow on Sunday, April 4, Inside the Games reports.

Yaylyan lifted 90kg above her head, to lag behind gold winner Kamila Konotop of Ukraine, who topped the standings in both the snatch and the clean and jerk disciplines, with a total of 208kg.

Russia’s Svetlana Ershova and Belgium’s Nina Sterckx rounded off the podium positions on 200kg and 197kg respectively.

With a total of 195kg, Yaylyan took the fourth spot in the standings.
