Azerbaijan announces military drills for May 16-20

PanARMENIAN.Net - The armed forces of Azerbaijan will hold exercises with the involvement of 15,000 troops from May 16 to May 20, Interfax-Azerbaijan cited the defense ministry as saying on Wednesday, May 12.

Up to 300 tanks and other armored vehicles, up to 400 rocket and artillery launchers of various calibers, multiple launch rocket systems, mortars and anti-tank munitions, up to 50 warplanes and unmanned aerial vehicles will be involved in the drills.

Azerbaijan's last military maneuvers were held on March 15-18. The drills included up to 10,000 troops, about 100 tanks and other armored vehicles, up to 200 missile and artillery units, up to 30 aircraft units, and drones of different types.
