Armenia ex-President compares Aliyev to

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ex-President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan has compared Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to a boastful teenager who, after being beaten, runs to his father and complains.

Sargsyan's comments came after Aliyev insulted Armenians again and accused the Nagorno-Karabakh army of desertion, when he visited the village of Mataghis occupied during the 44-day war.

“And why didn't you extend invitations to Mataghis 3 or 10 years ago? Couldn't you be cocky when you complained that you were being pressured behind closed doors to recognize the independence of Artsakh,” he said, recalling one of Aliyev's public statements.

Sargsyan reminded that Aliyev, being fit for military service, did not participate in the First Karabakh War, and offered to reveal his whereabouts when his people were dying in Karabakh.

“You have a good partner in Armenia. Invite him over while you have time. When he is no longer your partner, I will come to Mataghis and to any other point of Nagorno-Karabakh,” he added.
