Survey: 35% of Armenians think Russia is friendly, 43% prefer France

PanARMENIAN.Net - A survey was conducted in Yerevan this October-November to determine which country is Armenia's best ally– Russia or France, Verelq reports.

Member of the Eurasian Expert Club Samvel Manukyan said during the conference “Seven Years of Armenia's Membership in the EAEU: The Eurasian Integration Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow”, that Russia is considered a friendly country by 35% of respondents, while France – by 43%.

On the other hand, 17% of respondents said Russia was an unfriendly country, while 2% gave the same response about France.

“It is noteworthy that 23% and 28% of respondents found it difficult to answer these seemingly simple questions,” said Manukyan.

Participants were then asked "if Armenia is forced to develop relations either with France or with Russia, what choice should there be?" Here the number of supporters of Russia grew to 54%, while the number of supporters of France dropped to 23%.
