Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkmenistan readying new gas deal

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkmenistan could expand swap gas cooperation by increasing the volume of supplies, Baku's Ambassador to Tehran Ali Alizade has reportedly said.

Alizade made the remarks in an interview with the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) and said the prospects of the project seem to be successful, there are even proposals to increase the volume of gas supplies according to Turan

Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkmenistan signed a gas exchange agreement in November 2021. In early 2022, Iran began transporting gas from Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan in accordance with a trilateral swap agreement.
