Armenia’s Malkhas Amoyan wins bronze at World Wrestling Championships

PanARMENIAN.Net - Malkhas Amoyan of Armenia won a bronze medal on the opening day of finals at the World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade Sunday, September 11.

The Armenian wrestler defeated Sweden's Per Albin Olofsson 5-2 in a repechage match for the 77 kg bronze medal.

Also Sunday, Armenia’s 2016 Olympic champion Artur Aleksanyan reached the finals in the 97-kg weight category. His final bout for the gold is slated for Monday.
