TURKEY HAS TO SUPPORT ITS CLAIMS ON PARTICIPATION IN MEDIATION EFFORTS FOR KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT, ARMENIAN DEPUTY THINKS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey has to support its claims on the participation in the mediation efforts for the final settlement of the Karabakh conflict. Head of the "Agricultural-industrial union" deputy group of the Armenian parliament, Association of political scientists president Hamayak Hovannesian has stated that in his interview with "Arminfo" agency. According to him, Turkey's striving for the participation in the negotiation process has to be supported with its readiness to refrain from putting pressure on one of the parties of the negotiation process in order to stir the ambitions of the other. "Turkish foreign minister Ismail Cem's statements that Turkey is ready to undertake the key role in the final settlement of the Karabakh conflict when its blockade against Armenia continues and its refusal to establish diplomatic relations with the official Yerevan without pre-conditions sound inept", the Armenian parliamentarian emphasized.
