Russia discusses Karabakh with Armenia, Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin held separate meetings with Armenian ambassador Vagharshak Harutyunyan and Azerbaijani Ambassador Polad Bulbul-Ogly on Thursday, April 27.

According to a statement from.the Russian Foreign Ministry, the development of the situation in the Lachin corridor and in general around Nagorno-Karabakh was discussed.

"The importance of strict compliance with the entire range of agreements between the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan was reaffirmed for the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations," the Foreign Ministry added.

Azerbaijani authorities on April 23 set up a checkpoint on the only road connecting Karabakh with Armenia. Baku also maintained that they have informed the command of the Russian peacekeepers and the Russian-Turkish monitoring center about the installment of the checkpoint.
