Yerkir Union sent letter to PACE members

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerkir Union has sent a letter to participants of the spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to express their worries about the recent events in Samtskhe Javakheti.

"We want to warn about the discrimination policy pursued by the Georgian authorities. Armenian activists, who pressed for maintenance of Armenian language and culture, were arrested. Georgia poses as a country with European values. Unfortunately, the real situation is quite different. The Georgian authorities aim to completely assimilate all national minorities," said the letter, obtained by PanARMENIAN.Net
