Armenia says hasn’t received Azerbaijan bilateral talks proposal

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia stands for the effectiveness of negotiations with Azerbaijan, Chairman of the National Assembly Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan told reporters on Wednesday, January 10.

According to him, it is important for Armenia that formats established earlier continue to work, Aysor.am reports.

“They give the negotiations some international credibility, they make the negotiations more legitimate and they make the risks more manageable,” he said.

Khandanyan added that Armenia has not received proposals regarding bilateral negotiations.

“For us, the content of the negotiations and the establishment of principles are of paramount importance, because whether the negotiations are with the participation of mediators or they are bilateral, if the principles are not fixed, then yes, the agreements will not have the expected meaning,” the lawmaker said.
