Tiknizyan to join Serbia’s Red Star Belgrade

PanARMENIAN.Net - Lokomotiv Moscow has accepted a transfer offer from Serbia’s Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) for Armenia national team defender Nair Tiknizyan, Armsport reports, citing Metaratings.

The deal is reportedly worth €1.7 million, with an additional €300,000 bonus if the club qualifies for the UEFA Champions League.

Tiknizyan has reached an agreement with the Serbian champions on personal terms. His contract with Red Star will follow a 3+1 format—three years plus an optional fourth year.

Founded in 1945, Red Star Belgrade is Serbia’s most titled club.

The Belgrade-based club has won 24 Yugoslav league titles (19 in the First League and 5 in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia), 11 Serbian SuperLiga championships (including the current title), and captured the UEFA Champions League trophy in 1991 by defeating Marseille.
