PanARMENIAN.Net - Levon Aronian, competing under the U.S. flag, claimed third place in the Grand Chess Tour Finals by defeating Indian grandmaster Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa with a commanding 20–8 score.

According to the Chess Federation of Armenia, Aronian’s victory ensures his qualification for next year’s edition of the prestigious tournament.

The final top three standings were:
