Police officers guilty of Armenian citizen murder to spend over 20 years in prison

PanARMENIAN.Net - Saratov regional court has announced the verdict for three police officers accused of brutal murder of Armenian citizen Armen Gasparyan.



Dmitry Korchagin, Yuri Ogoltsov and Denis Churikov were found guilty of the crime and sentenced to 23, 20 and 21 years in prison respectively.



The term of penalty starts from October 30, 2008, when the suspects were detained.



On October 29, 2009 night, with the purpose to compel confession of gold theft from Armen Gasparyan, the police officers beat him severely and then burned.
