AZERI POLICE DISPERSED PARTICIPANTS OF ACTION AGAINST ARMENIAN ECOLOGISTS' ARRIVAL IN BAKUApril 15, 2002 - 23:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A seminar held under the aegis of OSCE devoted to ecology started in Baku today. The delegation from Armenia composed of 13 persons left for Baku to participate in the seminar. A picket was organized by some Azeri parties as a sign of protest against the arrival of the Armenian ecologists next to «Hayat Regency» hotel, where the seminar is held. The picketers screamed out anti-Armenian slogans and called to account those who had invited Armenians to Baku. Police dispersed the participants of the action this morning. In the course of the clashes with the police some activists were beaten and received bodily injures of different degrees of heaviness. The policemen seated the detained into cars and took them away from the scene of events. Leader of «Organization for liberation of Karabakh» radical grouping Akif Nagi was among those detained.
