CALIFORNIAN TRADE-ECONOMIC REPRESENTATION TO OPEN IN YEREVAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - Californian trade-economic representation will open in Yerevan in the near future. Senator Jack Scotin representing the state confirmed the information today at the meeting with Minister of territorial governance and coordination of infrastructures' activity Hovik Abrahamian. The interlocutors exchanged opinions concerning the exact spheres, in which the Armenian-Californian cooperation would be most successful. In the Minister's opinion, partnership relations should first of all be developed in such branches as agriculture, tourism, and high technologies. Let us note that some one million citizens of Armenian origin reside at present in California. The influential Armenian community of California is expected to bridge Armenia with the Californian business world. Let us remind that memorandum of mutual understanding, which laid the foundations for developing comprehensive trade-economic relations, was signed by California and Armenia November 2001 in Yerevan.
