Zhirayr Kocharian: anti-Armenian books published by Azeris in Germany

PanARMENIAN.Net - Some 40 thousand Armenians live in Germany. Majority of them are heirs of those who survived the Genocide in the Ottoman Empire, Freie Universitаt Berlin lecturer Zhirayr Kocharian said.

"At that, 300 thousand Turks live in Berlin only. Their number reaches 3 million throughout Germany. The number of Azerbaijanis, who rank themselves as Turks, has also increased considerably and reached 120 thousand," he told a news conference in Yerevan on October 21.

He also noted that Azeri and Turkish communities are well organized.

"Azeris have already formed 4 organizations, which are sponsored by official Baku. They publish anti-Armenian books, where Armenia is presented as an aggressor. Books are published in Armenian, Azeri and German. If students want to know about the Armenian-Azeri relations, Azeri books will be the only accessible source of information," Dr. Kocharian said, adding that Armenia should take action and publish editions as well.
