INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON NUCLEAR NON-PROLIFERATION TO BE HELD IN TBILISI MARCH 12-13

PanARMENIAN.Net - USA has become organizer of the international conference on nuclear non-proliferation, which will be held in Tbilisi March 12-13. Representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and the International Agency on Atomic Energy will participate in the conference together with Georgian and US specialists. The organizers of the meeting reported the primary attention in it would be paid to strengthening export control, resistance to contraband, military and twofold technologies, as well as to guaranteeing the protection and security of splitting materials. "Arminfo" agency reports, the United States pays increased attention to these problems in the light of the global campaign of the struggle against international terrorism after the events September 11. USA plans to hold similar conferences in Azerbaijan and Armenia in the future.
