Documents on opening International Innovation Center of CIS Nanotechnologies signed in Dubna

PanARMENIAN.Net - Agreement on Opening an International Innovation Center of CIS Nanotechnologies was singed on Thursday, December 17 in the Russian town of Dubna. The initiative was proposed by the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research and supported by CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation. Documents were signed by representatives from national academies of sciences, trade-economic chambers, scientific-educational centres and state-run and privately-funded Hi Tech companies operating in 8 CIS countries,



Since 2010 is declared as a Year if Sciences on CIS territory, the opening of centre will become a key event, according to RF NAS Academician Aleksey Sisakyan, Director of Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. "The centre's objective is to establish new scientific-innovative cooperation, create joint competitive markets and gain innovative advantages in CIS countries," he said.



The centre should help create an integration, innovation, research and education area on CIS territory, CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation says in a release.
