Erdogan: Turkey can become Europe's window to Caucasus and Caspian region

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey bid for EU membership 50 years ago and will not settle for any other status but full membership, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated at the meeting with German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle.

With Nabucco, Turkey can become Europe's window to Caucasus and Caspian region, according to him.

The German Minister, for his part, noted that coalition protocol, which served as a basis when forming the new government, doesn't contain the term "privileged partnership", offered to Turkey instead of full EU membership, TRT reported.
