ARMENIANS OF AMERICA AGAINST US SELLING WARSHIPS TO TURKEY

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Committee of America has joined the protest of the American Hellenistic Institute against US selling two warships to Turkey. The organizations addressed Congress demanding to refuse the deal. In the words of ANCA Executive Director Aram Hamparian, selling warships to Turkey may break the stability and create tension in the Near East and the Caucasus. "Build-up of military power by Turkey imposes threats to Armenia, Greece and Cyprus. Armenia cannot be sure of its security having an extremely armed neighbor," - Hamparian considers.
