Poznan (Poland) hosted European Qualifier in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling for the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore.

Varos Petrosyan (w.c. 85kg) won silver medal in Greco-Roman style, while Artak Hovhannisyan (w.c. 46kg) won silver in freestyle wrestling.

Both of them have qualified for the First Youth Olympic Games due August 14-26 in Singapore.

Armenia’s Gevorg Hambardzumyan (w.c. 76kg) won bronze medal in freestyle wrestling, Head of the Department of Highest Sport Achievements of the RA Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs Leva Vardanyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Earlier, five Armenian sportsmen have qualified for the Olympic Games in Singapore.
