RA Minister of Transport, WB representative sign $50mln protocolJune 9, 2010 - 17:25 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Minister of Transport and Communication Manuk Vardanyan and coordinator of the WB program on regional infrastructures Olivier le Ber signed a $50mln protocol on additional financing for implementation of the second stage of the Lifeline Road Improvement program. The program envisages rehabilitation of lifeline roads with total length of 190km and creation of jobs in the field of road construction. Meanwhile, 50km will be repaired this year, the Ministry’s press service reported. On July 15, the program will be submitted for the WB Board of Directors approval, after which a loan agreement will be signed. The WB loan will total $40mln, while the rest $10mln will be allocated by the Armenian government.
