Armenian, Iranian Defense Ministers discuss regional and international security issues

PanARMENIAN.Net - On July 17-18, Armenian delegation led by Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan was on official visit to Iran.

During his visit, Seyran Ohanyan met with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Defence Minister Ahmad Vahidi, Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Saeed Jalili and Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki.

The meeting focused on international and regional security issues, with parties emphasizing the importance of peaceful settlement of conflicts.

Defence Ministers gave high assessment to friendly Armenia-Iran relations, expressing satisfaction over current level of political dialogue, RA Defence Ministry press service reported.
