Armenian boxers lose in 3rd place combats at European Cup![]() October 23, 2010 - 16:39 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The first EUBC European Cup was launched October 22 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Four boxers in each weight category will compete during two next days and the winners will be awarded after Saturday's finals. Boxers from 15 European countries are taking part at this new event in the EUBC Calendar. Armenian boxers Hovhannes Danielyan, Derenik Gizhlaryan and Artur Khachatryan lost in 3rd place combats on the second tournament day. In tournament finals, Volodya Hayrapetyan (64kg weight category) will rival Vyatcheslav Kislitsin of Ukraine; World Cup winner, World Championship silver medalist Andranik Hakobyan (75kg weight category) will compete against Yevgeni Khitrov of Ukraine. ![]() ![]() Armenia’s Narek Manasyan (92kg) won Armenia’s second silver medal at the European Boxing Championships 2024 on April 28. Armenian gymnast, Olympic bronze medalist Artur Davtyan has reached the finals of the World Cup. Gor Manvelyan has denied reports alleging that he has expressed a desire to one day play for the French national team.
