Nalbandian breaks through to Swiss Indoors Basel 2010 second round

PanARMENIAN.Net - Argentine David Nalbandian has advanced in Basel with a straight-set 6-3, 6-4 win over Jan Hajek on November 2 to be joined in the second round by Marin Cilic and Janko Tipsarevic.

Nalbandian kicked off his campaign at the Swiss Indoors in convincing fashion, handling Hajek in just one hour and 15 minutes. The underdog Czech remained competitive the entire way, but break-point conversions proved to be the difference in each set. Nalbandian capitalized on two of five opportunities and saved all five of the break points he faced, two in the first set and three in the second.

Next up for Nalbandian is No. 6 seed Marin Cilic, tennistalk.com reported.
