Demonstrators marched to the head office of AKP (Justice and Development Party) carrying posters with mottos No to Military Bases!; We don’t Want to Participate in American Gambles! The demonstrators demanded to conduct a national referendum on missile defense systems. On November 19, Lisbon will host NATO summit, where Turkey will be offered to station missile defence systems. Official Ankara has not yet replied to the Alliance offer, believing that the system will be targeted at Iran and Russia, maintaining strategic relations with Turkey. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit.
