GM Giovanni Vescovi won the championship, scoring 8.5 points. FIDE master Poghos Nahapetyan scored 5.5 points out of 8 possible and shares the third place with several other participants of the Russian Students' Chess Championship held in Moscow. Nahapetian is only half a point behind the leaders. Karina Hambartsumova scored 5 points.
