5 Armenian alpinists conquer Kazbek

PanARMENIAN.Net - 5 members of the Armenian Federation of Mountaineering - Garegin Unusyan, Levon Movsisyan, Hamsik Manandyan, Ani Khachatryan and Monar Movsisyan - reached the peak of Mount Kazbek (5033m) on August 8.

Earlier, Armenian mountaineering climbed Mount Damavand (5671m) in Iran.

As the Federation told PanARMENIAN.Net in September 2011 special sports clubs will open in Armenia. Besides, mountaineering will be included in university curricula.
