Aronian, Danielian finish 2nd at Botvinnik Memorial

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmasters Levon Aronian and Elina Danielian both finished 2nd at the Botvinnik Memorial in Memorial in Moscow, Russia.

The men’s tournament was dominated India’s Viswanathan Anand, who gained 4.5 points. Aronian (3 points) was followed by Vladimir Kramnik of Russia (3 points).

In women’s event, Lithuania’s Viktorija Čmilytė passed 0.5 point ahead of Danielian to top the standings with 4 points.

Pair Aronian-Danielian was defeated by India’s Anand-Koneru, who won the tournament.
